Celebrate Canada Day at Mel Lastman Square!

Join us on July 1st at Mel Lastman Square for a vibrant Canada Day celebration hosted by the Yonge North York BIA. From 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, enjoy a day filled with delicious food, family-friendly activities, and captivating performances. Experience the ‘Canadiana’ Sweets Festival, a variety of entertainment, and a spectacular fire show to cap off the evening.

Event Highlights:

• Free Kids Zone (12:00 PM – 8:00 PM): Enjoy bouncy castles, inflatable rides, activity stations, and more on both upper and lower levels.

• Free Arts & Crafts (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM): Participate in creative activities sponsored by the Gibson House Museum.

• Free Face Painting & Glitter (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM): Get festive with face painting and glitter stations. Sponsored by Menkes.

• Afternoon Main Stage Entertainment (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM): Enjoy live performances from local artists on the lower level main stage.

• Evening Main Stage Entertainment (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM): Experience exciting performances, with a schedule to be announced soon.

• Roaming Busker Entertainment & Photo Ops (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM): Interact with street performers and capture memorable moments.

• Welcome Greetings, Land Acknowledgement & National Anthem (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM): Participate in official ceremonies on the main stage.

• North Fire & Dance Show (9:15 PM – 10:00 PM): Witness a mesmerizing fire and dance performance by NorthFire on the main stage.

• Fireworks Display: Conclude the day with a dazzling fireworks show presented by the Yonge North York BIA.
