Venue Information

Mel Lastman Square is a beautiful public space in the heart of Yonge North York, featuring 20,000 square feet of open space, a garden court, an outdoor amphitheatre, fountains and a reflecting pool. Special events that showcase music, art, dancing, theatre, food, and sports are planned by our city’s various cultural groups for every season. The Square has various levels and areas that are suitable for an assortment of activities, such as cultural festivals, concerts, fundraisers, awareness campaigns, children’s activities, art displays and more. In the winter months, the pond is frozen to become an outdoor ice rink.

Driving

Traveling from Northbound

Head north on Yonge Street until you reach the Hendon/Bishop Avenue intersection just past the Finch Station Passenger Pick Up/Drop Off zone located on the west side of the street.

Traveling from Southbound
Head south down Yonge Street until you pass the 401 exit ramp just past the Yonge Street and Franklin Avenue intersection.
Traveling from Eastbound
  • Via Sheppard Ave E: Head East on Sheppard Ave until you reach the intersection of Sheppard Ave and Doris Ave.
  • Via Finch Ave E: Head East on Finch Ave E until you reach the intersection of Finch Ave E and Bishop Ave.
  • Via 401 exit ramp 369: Take this exit directly onto Yonge Street.
Traveling from Westbound
  • Via Sheppard Ave W: Head West on Sheppard Ave until you reach the intersection of Sheppard Ave and Doris Ave.
  • Via Finch Ave W: Head West on Finch Ave until you reach the intersection of Finch Ave W and Beecroft Ave.
  • Via 401 exit ramp 369: Take this exit directly onto Yonge Street.
